Strathcona Regional District Boardroom, 990 Cedar Street, Campbell River, B.C. commencing at 5:00 p.m.

The purpose of the meeting is to permit consideration of matters listed on the agenda below and, where appropriate, to provide recommendations to the Regional Board. Unless otherwise noted, all resolutions will be decided pursuant to section 208(1) of the Local Government Act, which requires that all Commission members in attendance vote and each member receives one vote.

C. ELECTION OF CHAIR
 The Deputy Corporate Officer conducted an election for the position of Electoral Area D Advisory Planning Commission Chair for 2025. [Item]
 
 Commissioner Purdy was nominated and elected to the position of Chair.
 
1) ELECTION OF VICE CHAIR
 
 The Deputy Corporate Officer conducted an election for the position of Electoral Area D Advisory Planning Commission Vice-Chair for 2025. [Item]
 
 Commissioner Doknjas was nominated and elected to the position of Vice Chair.
 
 Commissioner Purdy in the Chair.
 
2) FIRST NATIONS TERRITORIAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
 
 The Chair acknowledged that we are located on the traditional territory of the Laichwiltach people.

THAT the report regarding a Development Variance Permit application for Lot 10, Block 1, Of Block 29 and District Lot 221, Comox District, Plan 12174 Except Part in Plan 1600RW be received. [Item]
 
 The applicant, Keith Fraboni, spoke to the application and answered questions from the Commissioners.

THAT the Development Variance Permit application for Lot 10, Block 1, Of Block 29 and District Lot 221, Comox District, Plan 12174 Except Part in Plan 1600RW be supported.

 The applicants, Maddalena and Scott Dunn, spoke to the application and answered questions from the Commissioners.

THAT the Zoning Bylaw Amendment application for Lot A Section 34 Township 4 Comox District Plan VIP66751 & Lot A, Section 34, Township 4, Comox District, Plan VIP59128 Except Part in Strata Plan VIS3306 Phase 1 be supported.

The Commission members agreed that meetings will be held at the Strathcona Regional District office on the Wednesday that precedes the monthly Electoral Areas Services Committee meeting should there be business for consideration.
